living What would you pay to provide opportunity for youth These are just some of the services FSAWV provides FREE to families in our community through the Parent-Child-Home Program and FAST (Families and Schools Together), Help Line's RUOK? telephone network and the Youth Talent Expo. Fiscal changes and challenges aside, we are committed to continuing the professional services that Northeastern Pennsylvania has come to expect from FSAWV.

Endowment Funds Family Service Association of Wyoming Valley also accepts donations to the following funds: Conyngham Christmas Fund. Mae Turner Conyngham established this donor-designated fund for the expressed purpose of providing Christmas celebration for the less fortunate. Friends of Family Service Fund. A Board designated fund, it is derived from the Friends’ annual solicitation of funds to provide community education and projects. The Anne Vernon Staff Development Fund. Established in memory of Anne Vernon, FSAWV Executive Director from 1975 to 1986, this is a Board designated fund for the purpose of supporting educational and training needs of the FSAWV staff. The Peter and Anna Fedock Legacy of Life Fund. Established through an unrestricted gift from Peter Fedock in 1997, this is a Board designated fund to assist in operating expenses. Personnel Fund. The Board established this reserve fund to support the FSAWV personnel pension fund. Morris Slater RUOK Fund. This fund, named in memory of past FSAWV Board President Morris Slater who was a strong advocate of the Help Line program and of its RUOK? service, is intended to provide support for the Help Line service. The Winter Parenting Fund. Established by former FSAWV Executive Director, Ms. Teddi Berlatsky, and named in honor of her parents, this fund is designated for the support of parenting education/training activities. The Guardianship Warm Hearts Fund. The Guardianship Task Force established this fund to be used in support of the Guardianship program’s needs, and for assistance in covering burial expenses for FSAWV Guardianship clients who are without other means. The Claire T. Shadie / Bessie Jones Endowment for Families Dealing with Autism and Special Needs Fund. George R. Shadie established this most recent FSAWV endowment fund for the purpose of developing a resource for families and individuals dealing with autism and special needs.
