Thank you! Pauly Friedman Run/Walk Sponsors
Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania would like to thank our Major Sponsors for collaborating on the 5th Annual Pauly Friedman Family 5K Walk/Run which took place on Sunday, August 11, at Misericordia University in Dallas. Close to 300 race participants came together to raise funds for Help Line, an information, referral and after hours crisis service in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Speacial Thanks Too:
National Volunteer Week 2013!!!
FSA NEPA recently honored the agency's Community Volunteers at its annual brunch at Irem Temple Country Club in Dallas. "Making a Difference in the Lives of Others" was the theme for this year's national celebration of Volunteer Week, April 21-27, and approximately 10 individuals were recognized at the event.
The definition of a volunteer is someone who unselfishly devotes time and effort in helping others without financial recompense. Volunteers spread kindness, change lives, and make a significant difference in countless ways. This annual brunch is a small gesture to say thank you for being an inspirational volunteer who is treasured every day.
Remarks were made by Michael Zimmerman, chief executive officer; and Ruth Kemmerer, Chief Advancement Officer. Marlene Romanko, Supervisor, Guardianship Program, presented each volunteer with a certificate of appreciation as well as a gift. National Volunteer Week is a time to celebrate those who give the greatest gift of all - themselves.
